Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is currently the IBO and RING Magazine Light Welterweight champion and currently regarded by the RING Magazine and several boxing commentators as the #1 pound-for-pound boxer in the world. He also made history by being the first boxer in the world to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes.
Several boxers have been suggested as possible opponents for Manny Pacquiao, such as Mayweather, Mosley and Cotto. In the case of Mayweather, chances of the two meeting soon is unlikely as Floyd Mayweather has an injured ribs. The two contending for the post are Mosley and Cotto. The most likely fighter to fight the Pacman is Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.
Miguel Cotto defeated big names such as Zab Judah and Shane Mosley, but he lost to Antonio Margarito. He won two other fights after his loss. In his last fight with Ghanian Clottey he suffered a big cut so he needs to recover first before preparing for the fight with Manny Pacquiao. The match between the two will surely be exciting fight so we should all watch for this.
